It's sad that they refuse to give you what any cable co. would give you without hesitation.

I also got calls from Direct days after I cancelled. Everything they wanted 100's of dollars for was now free. I asked them why they didn't give me this offer when I called, which I called back 4 times trying to get different people. I even told the last person that they would call me within 5 days offering everything for free and they still refused.

Well 5 days later they called and offered me everything for free, while the Dish guys were there installing the new system.

The Dish boxes and remotes are so superior I don't mind the check switch. I only have to do it once after I get my signal , so it's not a big deal.

They offered to give us HBO for 90 and 2 months free, I told them "at this point you can't seem to give me TV period".
I suspect they were buying time at my expense, wanting to be prompt in installing equipment for new subscribers. We had been with almost 5 years all together.
