Our Jayco Jay Flight has one of those metal post-type dinette tables. I've never been to fond of them, but what can you do? It's always been quite wobbly, but tolerable. We took our table down quite a bit last year, because my daughter slept there.
This year, we've noticed the table is horrible. It wobbles sooooo bad. I took it apart, got out a mallot and pounded the sucker in. Same problem. I inspected further and found out that the flat metal rings (that are screwed to the floor that help support the metal posts) are cracked. Two small parts on both sides on both rings. The posts won't stand up still anymore, no matter how hard they are hammered in.
I've never heard of this happening to these types of dinettes before. Are cracking supports common? My TT is still under warranty, but I am wondering if the dealer or Jayco would consider this wear and tear or damage caused by me? Sure, it doesn't hurt to ask, but I'd like to be armed with some information before I call them tomorrow to get it fixed.
Also, when we do get it fixed, won't the same thing just happen again? Should we switch the dinette to a different system and be done with it? Obviously, that would be at our own expense, which DH is dead set against. It just seems to be pointless to fix something that is already inherently broken, if you ask me.
Thanks for any advice.

This is a quite common problem. It happens when people leave the table UP when transporting the TT. The table should ALWAYS be taken down while traveling to avoid this type of problem.
I have a 2009 Jayco and haven't had it out camping as yet but still the table wobbles. This is the first table of this type that we've had. Looks to me like a poor design.
I have same table same problem. I'm on 2nd set of poles and have replaced a couple of the metal holders already under warrantee. I'm trying to get them to replace with dream dinette.

We have never taken ours down while traveling and have never had a problem with a loose table either. Is this happening on mostly Jaycos? Maybe my design is different on my Starcraft.

I don't have the table with the posts, instead my table is on a slide mechanism attached to the wall and the end "was" supported by that thin, maybe 1 inch pole(leg) that folded up. Very wobbly, so I looked at tables in other trailers. When I found a table with a "STABLE" leg, I had the parts department order me the leg. You'd need to order two legs, I only needed one since my table is hinged to the wall.

Never take ours down for travel either! we have taken it down and it does need to be "coaxed" back into place to keep it from wobbling. but nothing out of the ordinary.
Sounds like you have a problem with the bases. cheap and easy to replace, even if it is under warranty.
