I'm from Canada. I sent these people an e-mail asking them how their FJ Mastercard would work for us at the professional truck Islands. He started to tell me as of September 1/08: ( I don't like the RV islands like many others)
1) If you do not have their FJ card, you will pay a .09 cent a gallon surcharge at the professional truck islands.
2) In order to get the cash price you have to BUY something from the store in order to get the cash price. He said this is what has upset all the RV people out there. So basically there's no saving.
3) He wasn't sure what card would apply to a Canadian or how it would work.
4) Wanted to pass me onto someone who worked in the RV reward dept but I was so ticked I told him I wasn't interested.
5) Told him there was a huge following of RV people on the internet who are watching this carefully and alot are really upset with FJ's attitude towards them.
Thought I'd pass this on. Time to go somewhere else. Toban

I don't know what the big deal is, but I use FJ's all the time with our Pentagon Federal (5% off fuel) card and the regular FJ reward card and get cash price at the truck lanes all the time. I used it just last week for this purpose so unless something has changed recently, that's still the case.

Are you confusing credit cards with reward cards? You said "FJ card". Do you mean FJ credit card or FJ rewards card?
Since February 1, 2008, with the R.V. Real Value Member card (which is NOT a credit card), you always pay cash price (at the RV islands anyway), and you get a 3 cent/gallon discount if you bought $10 in the past month.

So, if you buy 100 gallons of diesel for somewhere around $450-500, you will pay another ninety-cents? Am I reading this right?

But thats NOT what it will remain. I was told directly by the Manager of Marketing when he called ME on the telephone..that as of Sept...using ANY credit card at the truck pumps you pay the STANDARD price ( NOT the "cash price") and that by using the FJ "Credit card" a Mastercard" and the RV Real Value Member card you will recieve ..
1) The CASH discounted price and
2) The additional 1 cent a gallon discount for using the RV card.
No emails..no USPS letter ..notjing but direct verbal conversation between he and I and I questioned him specifically on these point just so that "I" would know....not that it makes much difference to ME...because I will continue to use FJ at every possible time.

I like the RV Island like many others and they will be no surcharge at them. Also they are several of the RV Islands now that give you a receipt at the pumps.
Even if they don't give a receipt it is usually a closer walk to get one, then from the professional truck Islands.
