Preparing for annual summer Colorado trip. Decided to go "clear."
Shopped around drugstores and dollar stores. Found many clear, vinyl, cosmetic bags and totes. Found many different shapes and sizes but they are all clear vinyl.
(Tried this years ago with clear baggies but they never seemed to hold up well)
I took items like batteries, misc. small electrical items, our walkie-talkies, medications, decks of cards, insect repellants, sun-screen lotions,etc. out of the hard sided shoe box type storage boxes.
I have a whole lot more room in our storage cabinets with the vinyl bags. I can push them against one another. Any extra unused space is just squeezed out.
One huge plus is that Joe will no longer state that he can't see anything or find anything. When opening the cabinets we can clearly see everything that is in the storage bags.
If was difficult to find a link as I purchased them locally but they sort of look like THIS .

Good idea! We use a combo of bags and plastic boxes.

Do you really believe that? It sure wouldn't work with Chino. He would neglect to move the bags around to see what's in the back bags. If it's not right smack in front of him, he can't see it. I believe this is a common male ailment.
Anyhow, that's a great idea! I'll try that next time I do a fall cleanout on our B.

Hey, hey, lets not turn this into man bashing. Just because most of us are blind in one eye and cannot see out of the other is no reason to point it out publically. LOL I like the idea also.

Julie you are so right. If it doesnt jump out into his hands Dick doesnt see stuff either.

Well, not to add fuel to the fire...but!
It is my wife who sets up all of these "organized systems" and then is mad when I can not find the item I am looking for because she is the one who put it away in a place that made sense to her! :-)
Geeze, why does it not work the same way when she asks me for computer support for the same issues?
OK, back to storage. We do use those larger bags to suck out the air and we can store sheets and towels in a much smaller space.

This is an old Boy Scout trick. Put things in plastic bags and put everything at the top of your pack, so you can see it.
