We use a hang-on-the door shoe organizer - it has clear pockets, and we hang it on the bathroom door facing out - very easy to see what you want! I do kind of worry about the weight hanging on the bathroom door....

We do something like that as well. We have a back of the seat organizer thing. It hangs on the back of the passenger seat, so it's convenient when we're going in and out of the coach door. We use it for items that we like to have handy outside, like flashlights, matches, bug spray, dog doo bags etc.

Recovering packrat that I am, I still save those heavy vinyl clear zipper bags that new sheets or blankets come in. They are always convenient, sooner or later. I like the idea of smaller containers, too. Sometimes, it becomes obvious after a few days which items we didn't really need at all. I carry those into the campground laundry room and leave them on a table. They disappear pretty quickly.

Forgot to add that I use those plastic zipper bags to store RV bedding when we're not using it. Then when we want to go somewhere in cool weather, I just unzip and take the bedding out and leave the zipper bags at home.

The clear zipper bags are the BEST. I bug my friends to save theirs for me. I also use them in the shop to store the instruction manuals and small accessories for power tools. I have a designated cabinet to store linens for the B and I wash them and put them back in the zipper bags. (Can't leave them in the B as we have mice.)

Sounds like a good idea. worth a try. I have been using clear plastic shoe box size containers that seem to crack. Too cheap!! I'll be looking for some. BTW I also can't see things that are in front of me sometimes. If it was a snake...

For storing clothes, we use those Eagle Creek "Pack It Folders". They are pricey, but have a lifetime guarantee. I put all shirts in one, pants in another, etc. They store very flat or on their sides. You don't have to root around or have it all fall out when you open the cupboard. Easier than clear storage bins. They have a "board" that you use to fold so there is minimal wrinkling. They're made for using in suitcases.
We took clothing for the two of us for nine days (both for cold and for warm weather) in our RT 210 for a six week trip. Luckily we had both as temps went from 104 in Zion to snow in Yellowstone!

Report:

When "he" finally was forced to actually find something for himself, the clear containers worked well. "He" actually mentioned on day 13 that now he could find stuff!

The clear containers worked very well for me as I could find our belongings easily.
