Sprinter by Keystone, my breaks work great then there is no breaks. The break controller is a top of the line tekonsha p3. It's brand new. I got the folks at the camper place to replace the old one. Then I find out it is not the controller after all. I pulled one of the tires and checked the breaks. They seem fine with little to no wear. I have checked the connections I can get to and they look OK as well. Not sure what is going on here. I am assuming it is another lose connection some where but can not find it. Can you direct me to where it might be?

The wire from one side of the axle to the other goes through the axle. This will wear through and short out. Replace it with one on the outside of the axle and I bet your brakes will work.

Look for those little press on splices some use for quick easy connections. They are nothing but trouble.

Most intermittent problems turn out to be the ground connection on the TV or RV and you end up trying to get the ground through the trailer ball.

The P3 has a troubleshooting mode that will indicate shorts, opens, open ground, as well as voltages and currents. Using the troubleshooting mode as explained in the manual will find your problem for you.
