I will be driving up to Yellowstone in two weeks. This is our first time there. I will be traveling with my wife, my daughter (11yrs old) and nephew (10yrs old) . If anyone can give me some advise on what to do, activities, etc. I would greatly appreciate it.

Sightseeing - #1. Yellowstone is huge, and it can take you days just to see the main geyser areas, waterfalls, etc., plus getting between them. If you are in need of other things to do, you can take boat rides, horseback rides, take a ranger-led hike, just to name a few. Check out xanterra.com for information on activities and how to make reservations (which are likely to be needed).

Don't miss going to Mammoth Hot Springs up north. There is a huge elk herd that lives in the city. What a site to see. The springs themselves are so-so compared to the geysers etc.

We were there last year about this time and it was GREAT! I would highly suggest a bus tour. Since we had never been there, it was great to have a guide show us around. There is so much to do!
We used the Buffalo Bus Tours. Our guide, Jay, was awesome and showed us some spectacular sights! He's a local and has lived in W. Yellowstone for many years and showed us some out of the way spots. Very cool! He let my son sit in front with him during our tour! Neat!

definitely take them to the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery center in West Yellowstone. Not in the part but they can see 2-3 Grizzly up close and personal (they have 8 and rotate them through) As well they have wolves and on weekends do Birds of Prey talks. Very cools stuff for this Kid, not to mention any kid who has any interest in nature.

There's tons of info on the NPS web site for Yellowstone. Here. For the kids, check out the junior ranger program at Madison. Also check out the Yellowstone Wildlife Map. This is an interactive map put together by Max Waugh, a wildlife photographer that spends a lot of time there.
No matter how much time you have, it won't be enough. Have a ball.

Hopefully this link will work for you.I would recomend going to your local library and getting some books on Yellowstone. We just got back from there last week. Checkout Norris geyser area which is pretty central in its location. My 12 yr old says this was his favorite."Artists point" in the canyon area shouldn't be missed. Have fun!

We just finished an article on our website of the various ranger programs, where to find the bears, fishing, campground etc. There's also a copy of it here called Yellowstone National Park - A Review. You are more than welcome to look at our Adventure Archive on our website to see the full fun and corresponding photos. Have a blast!
