If Giant RV's claim to fame was that they were the #1 WW Dealer, then what are they going to sell now?

I can just about bet they aren't selling much of anything right now. Jeez, if they can't give trucks away how they gonna sell a trailer for pulling behind it.Sad sad sad.

I don't think any RV dealers out there are selling anything. I've seen a couple up here in Oregon go belly up. Looks like there's going to be a long shake out of the industry.

I've seen 4 new trailers, 1 motor home and 3 new boats in my neighborhood and only 1 foreclosure. Depends on where you are at I suppose.

Down here folks almost make you feel guilty for buying. I bought my 2500HD, first trailer, and two new quads last year. My neighbor keeps asking how I can be buying when it's the end of the world as we know it. I put 35 years in my business dammit, I'm going to enjoy the time I have left. I've been planning on retiring when I turned 50 since I was 18.... I missed it by one year, being 4 years into it I'm not slowing down now.

Right on... I've got 2 years, 11 months, and 6 days before I can do what I want, when I want.... but who's counting?

We bought from Giant back in '04 and they sure left us with a bitter aftertaste.

I never wished any of this on WW, but I wouldn't miss Giant.

I pondered this while chowing down lunch, it will be interesting to see if another brand fills the gap or if it will take several. My gut says with the slowing economy in SoCal that nobody is going to be filling the gap for a while. But if Giant really moved large number of RVs the somebody is going to be trying to get their units in that #1 spot.
