I have not heard of "303 protectant" I do know that most do no good except to temporarily improve appearance.

Whenever you wash your vehicle, you should clean the tires too. If you do need to put something on the tires, use the ones you apply by hand. I find them to last a lot longer than the ones you just spray on.

Most mfrs tell you to clean 'em and leave 'em - no 'so called' protectant should be applied. There is a mystery liquid inside the rubber, and the rolling action of the tire 'pumps' this liquid from the inner walls thru the sidewall and onto the exterior surface, where it protects the tire fron ozone and other bad things. Anything that interferes with this action is bad bad. I know, a zillion guys have been armor-alling thier tires since the civil war - tell it to BFG, et al.
