I have noticed that my Lance 815 water system has maybe developed a leak on the pressure side. The symptom is this, when I turn the fresh water pump on, and all taps are closed tight it will pulse every 30 seconds or so. I can not find any leaks anywhere. I have really gone over the camper thoroughly. I have only two sinks, toilet, outdoor shower and drains.

At the same time I noticed that when I turn the water on very low volume that the pump cycles quickly, about five times more often then it did before. An example is that I just use a tiny amount of water to rinse my hands and I do this often enough to notice this change in behavior.

My first guess is that the check valve in the pump is failing. Do you think I'm on to something? -Jason

My guess would be the check valve.

If you have a Valve for filling the Tank while Hooked to City water You should Take it apart and replace the washer/O ring! The symptoms You are describing sound like what I had! The solution was a new O Ring!
If you don't have that Valve My solution won't do you much good!

that is what the cause was for me - check valve. If you have a persistent leak it will show up somewhere. I would check visible areas though.

Also check you low point drain valves. They don't get used much and don't always close all the way when you de-winterize. make sure that you have them closed firmly.

I don't have a city water fill valve in my system. I have also checked all of the drains. The unit is a 2003 so warranty is of no issue at this point. Guess I should take the pump out and have a look see. I have been meaning to install a pressure tank anyways. Thanks for the help. -Jason
