.....Sometimes, solving a simple problem takes me 20 years. It takes a while to fill a big water tank, therefore I start the filling process and go do something else,.....and I always overflow the tank and waste precious water. I finally figured out that it takes a $15 in-line water timer to solve the problem. And, now I know it takes 20 minutes to fill my 90 gallon tank....
OOPS, I did it again. I see now that it takes longer, 'cause I set it on the mark between the 15 and the 30. See how I am.....

Cleaver. I usually just stand there and wait because if I go do something else, it will overflow.

i actually prefer just letting it fill and go do something else. that way it will fill quickly. if i stand there and watch it, it will take a week, and inevitably will wait till i walk away to overflow.

I know that with the spigot handle in a certain position, it takes 2 minutes to fill 5 gallons. I do the math on how much water I want in the tank, set the timer on my watch, and do something else!

We put an auxiliary tank level indicator in the wet bay when we put in the SeeLevel system. I just push a button and know what I have. I can also check gray and black tanks when dumping.

I filled my fresh water tank all the way for the first time last week. We have an 02 Jayco Eagle 305BHS 5er and there are two clear tubes coming out of the bottom of the tank. On our other 5er the water tank was in a storage compartment and it was clear so that I could see how much water was in it. This one is black and is mounted under the camper. While I was filling it, I heard water running on the ground under the camper and it was coming out of the clear tubes. Are these tubes there to let you know when it is full? Are they vent tubes also?
