Would love to see the photo's. You have to post them to a public photo site such as photobucket and then link them to here.
I'd like to see how doctored up they look!

the atty general's consumer fraud division would be the best place to start there in AZ...sounds like they forgot to set a reserve price in the auction & obviously don't want to honor the deal--killer bees!! how dumb can you get...

Another E-bay issue, I would strongly recommended on major purchases that E-bay is not the way to go (mind you there can be good buys) but situations like this are quite common where the seller pulls the item in the last few minutes because it did not come close to the price or other scrupulous doings. It not worth the headaches and frustrations.

I didn't re-read the auction ad but see if there was a disclaimer in the auction that says they reserve the right to end the auction early if the coach is sold locally. I know it probobly wasn't but I would be curious to hear if they included that and why they didn't use that poor excuse rather than the bees thing.
Also, my main concern would be to have PayPal recind your deposit and then walk away. Do you really want to deal with a dealer like that no matter what the savings?
Also, Since there was a discovery by you about other ads advertising a much higher price, it is very possible that the dealer did make an honest mistake and forget to include the correct reserve price.
I am not saying the dealer did the right thing with the bee story and their attitude but you have a chance to do the right thing and accept that there was a mistake made and forgive and forget.
I know. Easier said than done but again I ask, do you really want to deal with this dealer now?
I just viewed the auction site. I see the dealer had changed his user ID name last week. That is a good indication that he didn't want his previous feedback viewed.
With all due respect, I have a lot of experience buying on eBay and with a large purchase like this, I wouldn't have even considered a sale from a member that changed his user name and has no feedback.
I am very sorry that you are going through this mess and hope it works out to your satisfaction.
I might also suggest you file a complaint on ripoff report.com

Also, just so you know, there was a thread recently locked on here because it was about to turn in to a law suit and the authorities were already notified. It's against forum rules. I'd love to hear how this comes out, though. Good Luck. eBay can't force them to sell it to you, a judge can. Hireing a lawyer is your only choice now, eBay won't help but you can file a NPS (Non-Performing Seller) complaint and post a negative. But the dealer will not be harmed by those as he claims the rig is not fit to sell. You will have to take it to court and prove otherwise.

jay2003 wrote: This is one of the main reasons why I will never purchase something from ebay and why I think it's stupid that ebay pulled the ability to put negative feedback on a seller's profile. You were luckily protected by PayPal and got your cash back.
You've got it backwards, a seller can't post a negative about a buyer, a buyer most certainly can post a negative about a seller or in this case a non-performing seller. Then the seller mearely posts his rebuttal stating it was damaged and he isn't allowed to sell it.

Pick your battles in life. It would be great to get the deal you should have, but if it is going to take lawyers and legal fees, time going thru the legal wranglings, is it worth it? Right now you aren't out anything, just aggravated. I would try to keep it at that.
Do as much as you can with/thru ebay and move on.

Thanks for the excellent advice. I will post pictures of the "Killer Bees" tomorrow. I have bought lots of things on E-Bay over the years. I would have passed on this auction had it not been from a dealership that I could research. I could not find anywhere that they were dishonest. I would not have bothered bidding from a private party that had changed identities.
I just think that fair is fair. They should not be able to get away with totally disregarding fair trade. They offered it to the highest bidder. That was me. They were not neophytes to auctions. I am sure they have bought their fair share of things at auction. They never once indicated that it was some sort of mistake. They just made up an elaborate story to get rid of me, and when that didn't work they basically told me to pound sand.
I don't think so.
