Hi...

Has anyone tried Armor All Oxi MAgic Carpet and Upholstery cleaner to clean mildew off the inside of their PUP? It works great on my carpet and seats in my car... I just tried a spot and it worked quite well, but I'm not sure if I should try it everywhere... Its active ingredients are hydrogen peroxide and isopropyl alcohol. I was unsure about using bleach... Any thoughts...

When I was still a boater we used a bleach/water mixture on all surfaces of the boat. Many are the same as my pup including the ceilings

SunBrella (Fleetwood/Coleman) and CamperTex (Jayco) and other fabric/vinyl tent manufacturers have their own set of cleaning instructions. Using the wrong stuff can cause it to loose it's water repellant coating, or damage it.

I was thinking of the hard parts of the PUP. On the canvases you need to use a soft fabric type cleaner that the manufactur recomments.

Walmart and West Marine sell Spray 9 cleaner that will remove mildew without damage to the surface.

I called the Clorox company that makes Armor All Oxi Magic Carpet and Upholstery cleaner and they told me that it will be safe for the fabric in my PUP, but that it is NOT a disinfectant, therefore will not get rid of mildew... But it did do a good job cleaning up the black stains i had on the inside of my bunks...

We used bleach and dawn dish liquid, take a little scrub brush. We took the mattress out and laid a tarp down just in case. Then you will have to spray with 3M scotch guard. You spray the inside of the PUP, Yes inside. 1st time we sprayed outside did not work, I called the dealer and they said inside only. It worked great after that.

The outdoors is a wonderful place to be....
