I realize that the manufacturer is out of business. I read it on here from a friend of a friend. LOL. Anyway, The local dealer has a fully loaded 2007 NEW FSC2800 for $34K. Obviously I am not going to pay that, but I would like to hear some of you weigh in on the quality of the coach as we ll as whether you would buy knowing the builder is out of business. I would get the extended warranty when I negotiate a deal.

Thanks!

H2O,

Are you refering to the extended warranty? I assume so. I also wanted to make sure there is not language in the extended warranty that says it does not apply until after the one year manufacturer's warranty. I would assume that since there is no longer a manufacturer, the extended would apply immediately. I will certainly get that in writting.

I posted this recently on simular question:

If you really like the unit: Here is what I would do.
1.Have cash or bank draft in hand.
2.Treat the unit as if it was used. Check out every thing. Turn on every thing.I MEAN EVERTHING! Asume you are buying as~is/used/50k miles or the sidewalk it's yours!
3.If your satisfied, offer 50% of the MSRP and shut up. Offer no more than than 60% of MSRP no matter what.
4.Get all your paper work/docs and drive your new TH home.

Is it a 3 axle trailer?
I know WW did several in a 2 axle version and it was a big mistake.

Pass on it if it's a 2 axle, you don't need the problems.

I would agree with Val and not pay over 60%.

I just got a new 2006 WW for about 55% of MSRP but the dealer really needed to move on it.

Bring several friends who know about THs to do a walk through and find EVERYTHING wrong before leaving the lot. I have a Rage'n and have been happy with mine. Damn shame they are in bankruptcy.

dwrat,

It is a two axle. Please educate me why a three axle is needed on this coach.

as for the price issue... It was at 46K and now listed at 35K. I offered them 26K and they countered with 31K plus I pay tax and license. That puts me right back at 34K. I need to know where you guys buy these rv's for 50-60% below MSRP. I was at 43% and they laughed.

Thanks for your guys' input. Keep it coming!

one word, weight

I had an FS2600 on the same axles and it wasn't hard to overload it. the first 2800 models were already at their GVWR empty from the factory, WW ended up putting E rated tires and a new GVWR sticker on them after the fact just so you could put somthing in them. They started building them with three axles after that.

Look up a member F550man, I believe he has one and has posted about it.

That should be 40~50% off MSRP. Poor wording by me. IMHO you are buying as~is. I love my Rage'n but the fact is: it's no better than most and if I would have paid MSRP I would be looking for a rope to hang myself.
I looked at a new Rage'n and a new WW 5th before I bought used. Both of these new units needed a weeks worth of "adjusting" as the dealer like to call it. The WW was so bad I would not buy it new @ 50% off MSRP. But that's just me.

they ended up selling it before they accepted my offer of 43% off MSRP. I have been calling a bunch of dealers and visiting my local ones and there are no dealers budging off the 28-32% margin. Where in the heck are you guys shopping? Get me a number to the dealer you use. Thanks guys.
