2001 aljo 5'er with a slide that is giving me a headache. When pushing the rocker switch to extend the slide, the slide extends until I release the switch and it stops like it's supposed to. On the return, however, is a diffent story... Once depressed, I can release the switch and the slide continues to come in until it seats and the motor does not turn off. It stays on, still pulling the slide until the circuit breaker trips. I have replaced the switch but that wasn't the issue. Any ideas before I start into the hydraulics?
Electric/hydraulic pump, two rams, no other issues.
Thanks in advance...

Checked all of the connections and none are fried or in poor condition. Could it be a setting on the pump?

there is a sensor switch somewhere that tells the motor to cut off when the slide is closed, just like a garage door opener. That switch got knocked loose, is out of adjustment, or a wire came off. You'll need to locate it to solve the problem.

I had the same kind of problem with a couple of switches in my rig
Try this, As one other poster suggested pull the switch and either swap the leads, Top to bottom (or right to left it that is how it is mounted) and see if the problem is "Swapped" as well
Or.. Pull the center wire and operate the switch say, 50 cycles, then restore the center wire and see if the switch now works better
Very cheep self cleaning switch.
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

IF there is no mechanical switch to determine open and closed positions, does the auto-resetting circuit breaker just trip when the slide has reached the end of travel and the motor overdraws at zero rpm?

I'm at work now for a couple of days but I don't recall seeing a switch that is under the slide that could be adjusted. After the circuit breaker trips, I can reset it and the motor does not come on again until the slider button is depressed....OUT is ok and doesn't stick, IN does keep coming in until the breaker pops....

I've never seen a slide with a limit switch either (But then I've not looked at many)
The problem the O/P is having is with the CONTROL switch, the one his finger is on, not a switch in the slide. 99.9999% sure
