I was just there 2 weeks ago and there were no signs of it closing and then a friend told me they closed the doors and moved everything to the Roanoke,Va. store.I thought the Manassas store did pretty good.Long drive now to get to a Camping World.

I used to go there, before they opened the one a few months ago in Winchester, VA. The Manassass store was always busy when I went, and their service dept was always quite busy. This store is no longer listed in their online locations either.
New info, CW apparently leased the space from Reines, and when CW wanted to start selling RV's, Reines said no way. So now Reines will have the store

Reines is still there. It will be interesting to see if they open their own little store since the space is there.

I did'nt think about that,CW has been selling RV's for awhile and Reines was probably was just waiting for that lease to run out so they could boot them out, just hope they keep a store there.

I would bet my last dollar that Reines will open their own store to replace CW. Plus Reines will gain 4 service bays, which they leased to CW. Your friend Houston

Well, that's disappointing. It's always nice to have options, and now this one is gone.

RV manufacturers and dealers are closing and going bankrupt left and right. Monaco is shutting down in the Midwest putting thousands out of work. The whole RVing industry is downsizing based on lack of sales. Many people aren't able to afford to put fuel in their RVs, and pay their household bills. Camping World has got to downsize because of this.

The few times I've been to that CW, there were rarely signs of life . Just a few miles south and east (on Centreville Rd) is a RV supply store - I think it's called Restless Wheels or something like that - and they sure seemed to carry far more real RV parts than CW and probably nearly as many impulse items like RV soap dishes etc.

I was there last weekend and saw a sign advertising "Reines RV Center coming soon". I asked one of their worker's why were they moving and he said because they were not making money and it was costing CW more money to stay open than what they were doing in business. Hopefully the new RV Center will carry more RV supplies than CW did.

Manassas seems to be a very RV friendly town still. I too recommend just heading down the road to Restless Wheels. They are a great little family run RV shop. I purchased my Palomino there, and visit them frequently to buy all sorts of odds n ends. Like you noticed, Their shop seems to have a bit more selection of "technical" type stuff than CW had, like taillight assemblies, wheel bearings, a thermocouple for a water heater. Etc. I just recently bought a new faucet for my shower from them. Their prices seem to be similar to CW too on products that they both sold.
