My hot water heater is not getting the hot water hot. When on LP gas, I can hear it light up, and the panel on the outside of the camper gets hot, but the water doesn''t? The same witht he electric. Would a bad andode have anythign to do with this?

Do you have a bypass? If so make sure you have the valves aligned correctly. If there is no water going to the heater you might have burnt out the electric element. I hope not.

If you have an outside shower, make sure the water is turned off with the handles, not the shower head. serious, it is a known problem that creates your symptoms.

Sounds to me, you still in winter by-pass as mentioned above. There are some valves on the back side of the hot water heater, you get to it from inside. The direction of handle is a good indication of the direction of flow. If you haven't change them in the spring then your still in by-pass, and your hot water heater my be cooked if you lite it up dry. The gas side should be ok hopefully. The electric side will be toast if the heater was dry. Open the safety valve and see if any water comes out. If it does you might be ok. Bill
