I have a short somewhere in the kitchen of my travel trailer. As soon as I try to replace a fuse that keeps blowing, it blows again. I am not electrical savy, and would like some suggestions on how to fix or at least diagnose the problem. TT is a 2008 Rockwood Signature Ultra Light, warranty has expired and I have a camping trip scheduled in less than two weeks that I cannot cancel so I need to try and fix it asap. Any help would be appreciated.
Put a test light across the fuse holder and start checking and disconnecting stuff to isolate the trouble. The light will go out when the short is found.
I found the problem to be the light above the kitchen table has a short in it. Now I just need to find a replacement. smkettner - thank you for the advice.
Depending on the light you might not need a replacement.. I will explain
First.. If you find it's a wire worn through. TAPE
Second if it has a bulb with a ROUND BASE and either a single or double contact on the base,, You may be able to find just the insulator and center contact (With attached wire) at an auto parts store.. This part often fails and thus most auto parts stores carry the part.. Look for the "HELP" parts display in the store.

I agree, try to find where the lite is shorting, and fix/repair it. If nothing else, cut the black wire, tape it, and go camping. Them kitchens always have way too many lites in'm anyway

RJsfishin - there is no converter problem. At first I didn't know if the problem was in the converter or a light, outlet, appliance, etc. Turns out the light above the kitchen table has a short in it somewhere. wa8yxm - thanks for the advice, I will try to replace parts before I buy a new fixture.
