The WFCO unit you linked was 55 amps and will overload a 1000 honda.
But the 35 or 45 WFCO should be fine. Although I would still choose the XADC40 as I think it controls the charge voltage better and needs less power.
I am surprised the 12 amp circular saw ran off the 1000 Honda. I had to trade in my Honda 1000 when it would not run my 1/3 hp emergency sump pump. That saw must run with much less amps unloaded than the rating implies. Those amp ratings are more marketing of power IMO.

Yeah I asked him about the 45amp WFCO model. I guess you guys are right about getting a 40amp converter.
I forgot about the tool ratings ect... Its like the car audio amp rating 5000watt!!! bla bla bla.
