I need to purchase a generator for my Jayco 26 BHS G2 JayFlight. How do I know if I need two Honda EU2000i Generator's from campingworld or if I can get away with just one?

If you are in or near a large town look on Craigs List for generators. I just bought my gen there and it seemed like the perfect place as I found several slightly used ones for great prices. I purchased a 3500 Honda quiet run and it is perfect. It was one year old and bought it for $600 with extra heavy extension cords.

I also talked to my service dealer and they said they have been seeing a lot of problems with the dual generator systems. That's why I went with a single unit.

Good luck...Moose

If your tt has 15k a/c you need the twin hondas or at lease the 3k. The twins will allow you to run everything. I can run my 15k a/c and micorwave at the same time. If you decide to buy Wisesales.com has them for $860 w free shipping. They also have the extended run fuel tank setup for them. We have the twins and love them.

A 2000i runs my 13.5 AC easy and it will on most newer trailers some of the older ACs takes twice as much power to start. My AC takes about 11 amps to start and a single EU2000i puts out 16 amps. You will need to shut the AC off a few min if you want to use the microwave, it won't run both at once. Suggest you buy one and if you have problems buy the second generator.

We have the dual Honda EU 2000i setup and love it. They weigh about 40 lbs a peice and are easily toted by everyone. I just used them again last night as the power went out at our house and I was trying to get a welding project done. I used them to power my welder and it has never welded better. I have used them as singles and twinned. They work flawlessly and together run everything in the trailer. In the winter we just take the single and in the summer we take both to run the 15K BTU A/c and everything else without a glitch.

OK, I will be the guy, if for no other reason than to keep JJBIRISH's faith in Honda snobishness (pride?) alive.....so what did your dealer tell you was the problem they were seeing with the dual setup?

I thought Hondas never broke!

Actually anything mechanical can break. The good news for the Hondas is that there are hundreds of places that can repair them and parts are readily available.

Besides they don't need to be repaired before they work when they are new! Not to mention that they have years and years of operating history and will run thousands of hours.

Unlike some yellow ones I have heard about.

Oh yes, I am putting on my flame suit for the attack of the "yellow people" that seem to invade any Red or Blue generator thread.
