My three boys and I are vacationing in our 2008 Damon Astoria in San Antonio while my husband is at home working a few hours away. Last night I realized that the microwave was no longer working (the panel wasn't lit). After some investigation I found that a few of the outlets in the coach are not working - three or four in the "center" of the coach (near the microwave). Also, the front AC will not come on. Earlier today these things were working fine.

I have checked the breakers and none of them are tripped. I also went outside and reset the breaker at the electrical box to be sure.

I'm not very well versed in electrical systems, so I'm hoping this is something "easy"......I don't want to call a mechanic to come fix something I should be able to remedy myself. (and I don't particularly want to have to PAY a mechanic either)

Any help/tips would be appreciated so that I can get this fixed and use my oven and AC.

Thank you!

One leg of your 50 amp service may not be working. Try resetting the main 50 amp circuit breaker in MH's electrical box.

In addition try resetting the MAIN breaker(s) in the rig

Just because a breaker LOOKS like it's on does not mean that it's not tripped I've seen many breakers were you could not visually tell they were tripped. You needed to reach out and touch it.. A gentle tap with a finger could tell, but not the eyes

I agree except just turn each breaker off then back on also check all your GFI breakers to make sure none of those have tripped. HTH

The same thing happened to me because one leg of the 50A went out, but at the campground's service panel not mine. Most service panels have a 30A recepticle as well. Use your 50A-30A converter cord and see if that makes it work.

A good test is to unplug and run the generator. If the generator powers everything, that's another indication it could be the service line coming in from the CG.

Good luck...

I'll have to go with a GFCI tripped. 50 amp services usually have two. One in the "bathroom area" and one in the "kitchen" area. If the bathroom one is not tripped you might find finding the kitchen one a problem.
For some reason several RV makers like to use the microwave outlet for the GFCI and in several cases we had to remove the microwave to find the second GFCI outlet and reset it.
