Dang it,, I am ticked off.. When did the internet become nothing more than a billboard? I am old enough to remember before there was the graphical internet.. Back when there was real information available..

Now it is so pop up and commercial laden to make it almost useless.. Do the people who post the ads really expect you to click them? And YES I do have pop up blocker installed but when I do a search for anything, say left handed widgets,, I get tons of commercials,, all I want it a good search engine that finds information..

Anyone know of one? Truthfully?

I have used Google ever since it came out. Many others put all kinds of cookies, etc., in your computer but Google seems to be the cleanest and most efficient. It is my default search engine.

Google all the time, and no pop-ups. I am using Firefox on a Mac.

I do get annoyed by the links that come up all the time no mater what your search term is, promising "lowest price on ..." but I just ignore those.

First-No Internet Explorer- Costly.
Second- Firefox- free
Third- popup Blocker- Free
Fourth- "Noscript" free to download

You want to talk about ads?
How about the ads they are running at the bottom of your tv screen that can cover an important view while watching a movie.
