I am sitting in spot 2109 this very moment and can say although very expensive a great place to stay. I return each July for twom weeks and find it great for our grandkids as well as ourselves.

Newport Dunes, we have been there with our new MH 3 times and heading there again tomorrow, ( Thursday the 24th ) for the weekend. It is local for us and where we are doing our new coach shake down runs. Here are a few Pro's and Cons as we see them.

Cons......Very spendy. $130.00 a night for an average spot and $220.00 a night for waterfront spots.
Very Crowded...they shoe horn you in with views only of other RV's
Swimming permitted only if you rent their life vests at 6 bucks an hour, they do not allow you to use your own. Cha-ching!!!
Toad and guest vehicle parking is a joke, again Cha-ching. They park all over the place blocking most vehicles in, Heaven help you if there were a fire, people would not get out of the place.
Narrow spots, thank God for the back up camera.

Pros....Semi clean and maintained
Walking distance to Back Bay Drive where I do a lot of Nature Photography and HD Video stuff
Dogs permitted with their own little poop area
Pretty festive just before sundown with nice people roaming around, usually with a drink in their hand.
Greta for kids with an outdoor movie each night shown on a huge inflatable screen
An arcade for the kids also

This will be our last visit there as it is not worth the money for what you get. It is only a local place for us to get to know the MH.

We'll look for you this weekend if you go, just let us know.

Tim
