Anyone else notice on last night's episode of "Deadliest Catch" that Captain Phil lives in a TT? I wonder if he ever travels in it. Since DH is an officer on a cruise ship, it would be interesting to be parked next to him in an RV park!
Captain Phil and Johnathan and Andy are my favorites (Sig is DH's favorite). I sure hope that Captain Phil's health improves and he is able to return to fishing. It will be a long interval until the new season starts and we find out whether or not Captain Phil will be back.

I noticed the TT also. Thought that was a little strange, but then, maybe he's not there enough to have a permanent residence. I agree with you,Phil, Andy and Johnathan are my favs.

It's too bad that DH is out at sea. He might have liked to go to Ballard to see Sig. I like Sig and I really like Edgar (he is so funny) but I could never work the hours that he requires his guys to work.
DH thinks that Sig is a good captain. He has a little more knowledge than I do about what makes a good ship captain. I keep telling DH that he should leave the cruise ships and go fishing up in Alaska!

We noticed the rv also.
My fave captains are Phil, Sig, Andy, and Johnathan.
I liked that Phil sat on his son Jake for disappearing while work was still being done. I wish Andy and/or Johnathan would have done the same with Johnathan's son Scott. Perhaps they did but it just didn't make the cut in favor of showing a fellow crewman getting into it with Scott. (shrugging)
My other favorites on the show are Edgar and Josh.
I hope Phil's health is better today. I'd hate to see him leave what he seems to love to do, even though he sure has trying moments.
Love the show and enjoyed the episodes of After The Catch, but if the channel does After the Catch next year, I hope they run it after the new episodes finish for the season. Kind of silly building up storyline suspense then show and tell how things turned out before the regular episode airs .

He lives in a pretty nice Mobile Suites from the look of things...
And I agree they need to do the 'after the catch' after the episode(s) they are talking about duh
So I missed I guess the one where initially they find out about the blood clot....did he get the blood clot from hitting wall or was all that just a coincidence?

I think the blood clot was coincidence. I agree, after the catch should be shown after the season is over.

I went over to the Deadliest Catch/Discovery website last night but didn't go back too far, so I'm sure I missed some of the discussions of the episodes dealing with his health. There are websites for the different boats and information about their owners/captains/crew, but I just glanced at a couple of them.
So much to look at on the internet , so little time .
I do remember Phil said in one episode that he'd lost his mother not too long ago to this (I'm assuming he meant blood clot). Also, in the episode where Phil had his chest X-ray showing in a scene, the woman looking at the photo said what she saw would have happened before the rib injury. I'm not sure if the clot was what she was referring to exactly or if she thought it was something else at that time.

One of the Ice Road Truckers has the same health situation
(blood clot in his lung).
Wonder if it's related to sitting for long periods of time?
Recall the advice about sitting on airline flights?
(Get up and walk once in a while - restroom & back, or?)
Also - all smokers - not good!

Remember early on in the series when the Aleutian Ballad took a rogue wave that turned it over on her side?
Now retired and resting comfortably in AK as a tourist attraction.
