I think they told Phil the blood clot was caused by him sitting all the time. It broke lose and went thru his lungs and into his heart. It is amazing that he is still alive. His mother had just passed a few months before from the same thing. She wasn't as lucky.

Love to watch the show, find some of the things they do a little over the edge tho. Really liked the part where the guys got to the end of the season and went to where they buried their father and saluted him for their raising.

I don't remember the dock number, but it was docked next to where our cruise ship (princess) docked last year in Ketchikan. I spied it when we were getting off the ship. We walked over there to find that it was not really open, but the captain/engineer was on board doing some maintenance. He put the gangway down and invited my wife and I on board for a tour.

I wish I had known about it before our cruise as I would liked to have gone out on it while in Ketchikan.

Link made clickable - F/V Aleutian Ballad Bering Sea Crab Fishermen's Tour - Ketchikan, Alaska website

Wrace, thank you for posting about the Aleutian Ballad!

Hubby and I hope to take a cruise to Alaska in the near future and, like you, think it would make a great excursion.

Hopefully you'll get back to Alaska and will be able to sail on the boat .
