I just got back from a 2 week outing. Half way though my trip the hot water heater stopped getting hot. The first week you turned the hot on a 1/4 turn and mixed it with the cold for a good temp. The second week we had to turn hot on full with no cold added, it was do able but not hot. It's a Suburban direct spark gas only heater. Any sugestions ? Thanks
My first guess would be that your burner may be out of adjustment, and it's sooted up---obstructing the flame.....may be a combination of something obstructing the burner tube in the first place......try cleaning it....if you don't have the maintenance manual, you can download it at no cost from bryantrv.com.......all you need is to scroll down the list of WHs 'til you find yours, then print or download....
It does not sound like you have equipment failure.
