OK folks, when are we going to get this nonsense that's causing all the double posts cleared up?

Yeah, I know how to see if mine went in regardless of the warning note I get, but it's obvious many don't and the system is still messed up. I use a number of portals, but get the problem much more often on the RVNet one.

It's been this way for weeks and if anything it's getting worse.

The double post come when people re-try posting thinking original hung or lost. Learned this last year with this portal. New software update made it worse for sure in this regard but if people just post message, ignore any error, at least with me, I have a single post vs. multiple posts.

Best bet before hitting "post message" is to copy all the text in case its lost, you can just paste in new message and post. If you hit back and post message again, it doubles up as well.

I believe that the root cause of the double post problem is the amount of time from the start to the finish in creating a post. If I start typing a post and it takes me more than a few seconds, that delay almost always results in a problem with posting it when I am done. I'd guess that it has something to do with the convoluted mirroring that is needed to make all of the portals work.

Some of these problems will have their second birthday this coming October. They might actually be older than that but I didn't notice them before that date.

If I post and it takes more than about 5-7 seconds, I just click my back button. Sure enough, my single post will be there. I have been doing this for about a month now.

Also, it happens to me on RV.Net so now I just use the Trailer Life portal (the spell check works here, too!)

I copy the post and if it hangs up more than a few seconds I close the dialog box and click outside of RV.net... like to Yahoo or something. Then I reenter RV.net and repost if needed. Never a double post since I have done this.

The performance of RV.net is despicable, I gave up and now use the woodalls.com site which is problematic and irritating but not infuriating like RV.net is.

Like I said, I know how to get around it.

SOMETHING'S WRONG.

What I want to know is when they're going to fix it!
