Heading westbound 80 in Sacramento there was a motorhome with huge pictures of lemons and signs "worst RV builders" plastered all over it. These signs were on the fron side and back!
I did not get the make(I was heading the other way) but it looked like a newer MH with full body paint.

Wow...I guess things can get pretty bad to feel you have take matters this far.

And yet it was moving on down the road. Some people buy these things thinking that because they are spending a lot of money everything will be perfect. To make matters worse you meet others out there that have never had a problem (lucky them). Most of us though go through the initial shakedown with several problems and the associated trips back to the dealer for repair. In most cases the lemons are probably more a fault of the servicing dealer than the coach itself. Just met a guy who invoked the lemon law on a Winnebago when the dealer said he could not fix a slide problem. The problem was real but the lemon part comes in because of poor service tech's and a dealer that just didn't want to deal with the problem any longer.

We moved!! No more nasty neighbors, no more rotten parking. I am saving this picture just to remind myself how bad it was.

I think "problem" in in the eye of the beholder.

In my expert witnessing I have been amazed at what some people called problems.

I am the type of person who just fixes everyhting I own myself. This way a problem that takes a few hours to fix doesn't turn into a multi-day, multi-hundred or thousand dollar event. Half the time its faster for me to fix something, than arrange dealer service, arrange a ride home, actually get it there, and then do it all over again just to pick it up 4 days later.

If it is the guy from S. CA., he has had something like 6 or 7 radiators replaced in that unit. Plus other issues.

There's no lemon law for RV's, anything could be his problem. My brother had a Ford Bronco that kept having the rear window pop out. This happened at least a dozen times, smashing in the road. Each time he brought it back the dealer would try again to fix it. After 3 years and a dozen windows, he finally filed for a lemon law claim and got the truck replaced. His next Bronco was perfect. What a pain in the butt!

Some vehicles are just junk, regardless of make, model or cost. Even the best manufactures can have a bad day.

It's the Chaos Theory. Every so often a bunch of bad parts and appliances find themselves a home on the same unit.

I think I saw the same guy on I-5 in March. It was a Country Coach and one sign said he'd had 7 radiators replaced.

Then the radiator is probably not the actual problem and someone should figure out what the real cause is. I doubt that every coach manufactured by that company has had bad radiators and after the second or third someone should be looking elsewhere. Here again a problem with poor service. On my own coach I have had 3 solar panels and controllers replaced. I am not stupid I know the problem; they mounted a wafer thin solar panel flat to the roof and when the coach flexes the solar panel gives up the ghost. My next solar panel will be raised on brackets and I will install it myself. Bet I don't have any more problems. Most coaches are not lemons it's just the service department that is a lemon.

Exactly. After Newmar went back to a 1 year warranty I was speaking with a larger dealer who said it was a double-edged sword. On one had the 3 year warranty was a good selling tool, on the other hand he was amazed at how many people wouldn't tighten a screw or change a light bulb for themselves.

I recent read (on another forum) of a person who had a list of 13 "major issues" and "needed to go back to the factory". In looking at the list I could only see 3 I'd even call an "issue", and I could take care of all 3 of those within a few hours in my garage. But...perception is reality to some people.

Not completely accurate, as it varies from state to state.

There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.
