I just bought a used 2001 Coachmen Leprechaun 314ss and was wondering where the converter was. I have a manual for a Parallax 900 series, so I'm presuming that's what this unit has. Not under the stove, fridge nor bed. Hmmmmm.....

Did you look on the 'side' of the bed frame? Many of them vent on the side, which is also the access to them.

When you lift the bed and look inside that compartment, it is covered by wood so you wouldn't notice that it actually is placed there and vents out the side. Good Luck!

Should be on the side of the bed.

On the side of the bed is the AC & DC fuse/distribution panel, which has the shoreline/genny auto switch on the back. But, it seems way too thin to also house the converter. Otherwise, under the bed contains the water pump and water tank.

The only place I can hear that tell-tale 60 Hz hum is from what sounds like the propane tank.

I'm befuddled.

I found it. Converter is under the cabinetry next to the fridge, rearward of the furnace. What it's doing on the passenger side and nowhere near the breaker board and genny switch I have no idea.

This unit is pretty warm, and I'm not too sure I can trust its charging smarts. Any suggestions on an upgrade path?

That's where it is on my 2000 Coachman also. Go for a Inteli-Power 9200 Series Converter/Chargers with Charge Wizard. Best thing you can do for your batteries.
