we have a 27in tv mounted in the front console that we want to remove and put a flat screen in. my question is, i have a 24in wide entrance door, has anyone removed a tv this size and did it fit through the entrance to get it out? not sure what the depth is .

I was going to remove mine, but chickened out when I had drop it out of the cabinet. I believe it was not more the 19" deep. Which means you have to turn it sides ways to get it out the door. (thought you'd like that) Bill

Got my 27" through a 26" doorway. Enlist two strong guys, and have another person on standby with wire cutters in case a cord or cable hangs you up. And yes, you may have to turn it a little, but it should go. And good riddance!

It can be done. It will take two good men. That's the heavest thing I have ever seen for a TV.

Is it 27" wide, or does it have a 27" diagonal screen?

I recently removed a 27" Panasonic without any problem. Fit through the 24" doorway.

Also removed a sleeper sofa, after removing back and sides and it fit through the doorway also.

Good Luck.

tonkatoys;

It was a gray panasonic, tapered in the back. I was surprised how easy it was to remove. My concern in removing it was whether I could handle it without any help. Went slow and all went well.

Did it myself, and I am vertically challenged.

If it is the same set, you will be surprised how easy it is to handle.

Good Luck.
