When we stop and start while driving the tv unhitched, the hitch slides and bangs. What am I doing wrong? Thanks.

Get your manual out on it and adjust the front block. If you look right in the very front of the hitch you will see a white block of nylon. There is a bolt on the front of the metal plate attached to it with a nut to lock it in. Adjust the nylon block to help hold the hitch in the forward most position. you don't want to tighten it down to much as then it wears out the block. Just enough to hold it in place.

Look at page 10 of the manual

This is IMO

Thanks, that's it. Read the entire manual when I got it, then forgot everything. When in doubt read the manual! Problem solved.

When you make the adjustment, and have no more play, turn 1/2 turn then lock
the nut. I had the same problem with mine. I hope this helps you.

They came with a manual! I thought that was just packing material.

Don't feel so bad. It seems that just about every other trip out I run across another SuperGlide owner who is complaining about the same thing. "My side is banging around when not hooked up". Then I walk over in point out the adjustment bolt on the front of the slide and the same amazed look comes over their faces.

It's a guy thing. Never read instructions until you grow older and wiser.

Before I adjusted mine I used a bung cord to keep is from sliding back (didn't have time to adjust at the time). It is a good band aid.

This is new to me because mine has never moved at all when unhitched. Learn something new every day I guess.

Well thats one of the many great things about the B&W system. It has a small shock absorber that want let the hitch rattle or move around. I had 3 other type 5th wheel Hitches and they all made noise. GBY....
