After primitive camping on an air mattress in my airplane hauler trailer among a group of Class Cs, hybrids, and TTs, I'm once again jonesing for a "real" travel trailer with a real bed, shower, and toilet.
Since the last time I got this urge, a couple of lightweight toy haulers that would be PERFECT for my purposes have popped up.
What are people's opinions of the Kaddy Kruisers?
What do you think of the Coachmen Adrenaline Blast lineup?
I need something under 6000lbs to tow with my 1/2 ton. I need garage space to stow several large model airplanes.

i'm in the same boat... I've been looking closely at carson trailers. Seems i can get the basics for $10k. All the other "entry level" models are at least 25% more.

IMO, don't buy the Carson. You'd be happier buying a used trailer for the same money. They are cheap because they are built cheap.

Well, since Carson is completely on the wrong side of the country from me, even if I wanted to drive out and get it, I will take heed of your advice.
Both these are available from a fairly local dealer, a 150MPH and a KDX16.

Can you elaborate? I know it's not fancy but i felt overall construction was good. Am i missing something besides out of date cabinetry?

I looked at the Blast before I bought my trailer. It seemed okay but I thought it was very basic and utilitarian. I didn't feel at home, I felt like I was in a pickup truck from the fifties. Keep in mind that many toy haulers give up storage cabinets to haul the toys. The Blast 150 has just about zero storage and the 180 has very little. If I did get the Blast 150 it would definitely have the electric drop down bed.

I haven't had the small trailer, but.........
My first toy hauler was a Carson 28 ft tow-behind and the second was the Coachmen Adrenaline 40 5th wheel
We started in a tent and then a 19' prowler TT before the TH.
IMHO the carson was a very sturdy unit - cheap, cheap, cheap trim (grrrr) but well-built frame. It stoood up to about 15,000 miles of ugly, nasty pulling - including dirt roads and goodness knows what else (hey - I didn't know any better!!!) The Coachmen has been a champ too............ but again, I can not speak for the smaller trailers.
I loved my 1978 Prowler 19' TT - it rocked!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The other way to go is with an enclosed trailer
Children are unpredictable. You never know how high up the wall they're going to drive you

1998 Chevy 3500 Dually - old tow rig - now for sale
a really, really big 2006 Adrenaline 400DS
kids, quads, and a dog - life is great
