My deep cycle battery went bad and I need to buy one for our trip this weekend. Where are the best places to find these batteries? Does Sears or Wal-Mart sell them or do I need to go to a dealer (hopefully not!).

Thanks.

Optimas at Coscto.
also, Walmart Brands are made in the same factory by Johnson Controls: Same company that makes Optimas.

Unless you enjoy spending more money for less capacity pass the Optimas by.
Costco, Sams, BJ's are all good sources of inexpensive deep cycle batteries.
We found brand to be of little importance. It's maintenance and proper charging that gives any decent battery it's lifespan.

We run the 115 AH DC-27 group deep cycle battery from Wal-Mart at about $75 the last time I looked.

Make sure you get a true deep cycle and not a marine deep cycle. There is a difference.

Fill the hole with the largest battery(s) that will fit. Every AH counts.

I had a Wally battery that didn't last. I have an energizer now, and it is holding up well so far, 2 years.

Sears does sell deep cylces.
