The teardrops may be the answer to the people who can't make the large units work any more. I have never owned one, but did pull a small fold out RV behind my Goldwing back in 1975, took it to Silverton, Colo. Little cold but had fun.
2005 Chev 5.3 Supercharged 395HP 425 T hp. Two wheels on front, 2 on back. one seat, tint windows. front and rear bumpers, headlights, windows. Door on each side. Heater, floor mats, junk behind seats, some dirt. Pulls so hard.

I considered a teardrop -- looked great (that was actually how I started looking at campers in the first place).
That said, teardrops are for a special type of individual or couple. Not much room -- so only folks who are accustomed to close quarters will find it appealing.
Teardrops do have fan clubs though. More power to them!

I LOVE the teardrops and your're right Supercharged, it takes a special breed of people to enjoy them. That would be us...in our later years after we settle down again. We love CAMPING and RVing isn't camping. I think I could even do it alone if I had to.

Why buy stock, why not just build them? There's nothing to them, there would be nothing to the tooling to make them.

Heh, if KIT was still KIT, they could go back to their roots. They started out selling teardrop trailer "KITs" during the early 50s.

While camping recently we saw two very small trailers that were sort of tear shaped. At first I thought it was some sort of promotional thing or group, but they were from separate states and in separate cgs. The brand was something like T@KD or something like that. Anyone familiar with these. Sharp looking little units.
