It's normal. So, get a container to put the shower head in then use that water to rinse off the ________. (Fill in the blank)

My folks bought a 99 Winn. Vectra in 2001. The shower head in it did the same thing.

Sorry to keep posting but it is not just a drop. It is a steady leak so my pump keeps clicking on and off. I have set up a out side shower really a porta privy from pro bass and it works great for using the out side shower. I like to leave it on and turn it off at the shower head as I have it on the other side of the tc. We do a lot of boon docking and have never taken a shower inside. Thanks for the info Bill

so turn the faucets off and your problem is solved, right? or did I not understand your final explanation? the problem is that you leave the faucets on and are trying to shut off at the shower head somehow?

Most RV shower heads have a on/off switch on the back of the shower head, it will drip some to relieve pressure when turned off, he thought it was a leak. It is doing what it is supposed to do. Turning off the faucets to lather up is a pain, trying to adjust the water temp with soap in your eyes is a hassel. I use the drippy switch on the back.

hemlox, your information is what my dealer said to me: the shower head is designed to leak in order to conserve water when camping by using the Naval showering technique: turn on the shower head, adjust the hot/cold with the water valves, spray water on your body, turn off the shower head and let it leak so the hot/cold mixture stays OK, lather up, turn on the shower head to spray the soap off.

It works very well for me. I like the idea. The alternative is to either let the water run full-blast during the whole showering process like I do at home, which is wasteful and would not be feasible when dry camping; or, turn the water off completely to lather-up then readjust the hot/cold to spray off, which would be a bother to do and would probably waste water to boot.

This explanation makes more sense to me than the pressure idea, unless the shower head and hose are not designed to take the 40psi most regulators produce.

yes, I certainly agree that you could use a dribbly on off thingy at the shower head while you are using it, but it should be shut off at the faucets while in storage. I gathered the OP was leaving faucets on while traveling?

Take a little plastic bucket into the shower with you. As you adjust temperature, let the water go into the bucket rather than down the drain. Next time you need to flush or do the dishes, you will have a little in your bucket, and more in your tank.

Park your shower head in the bucket if the leaking bothers you. As least you are going to use that water later.

In my case, I use the leak to rinse off the soap or shampoo from my hands before I press the "on" button again.

Only suggestion is to change out the head to a kitchen sprayer. Been a long time, but there are threads on here on how to do it. Conserves water.

I LIKE that idea!!
