I'm pretty new to 5th wheels, but I'm learning. One good lesson recently made an impression, so to speak.
My bedroom slide was out and I was wearing a baseball cap. I guess the cap obstructed my view of the slide, and I walked right into the slide. I spit out a small piece of tooth and a little blood, but I didn't go down and remained combat-ready.
My slide now has foam pipe covers, but just as importantly I take off my cap when setting up.

You will learn to look UP DOWN and ALL AROUND... Do not HURRY...... or something will go wrong.. Happy to hear you did not go down...be careful, SLOW down and ENJOY the MOMENT...........

We cut a swimming noodle and slide it on corners of the bedroom slide.

I have several "dents" in my bulbuos head after many incidents walking into it. I don't think it has afffffffecdttrfd mky brrrrrrain funktioooooonns.

We are also new to 5th wheeling. That pin box looked like a head knocker so I made a padded cover for it. Bright orange so we can see it. It looks like it has it's own flotation device.

Im in the club as well. I got myself on the trailer where is rises up to go over the bed of the truck, thought I was down enough to clear it, I was wrong.
