We're just back from our summer vacation and spent July 18-26 at the Beach Family Camping area in North Conway NH. Aside from some uncharacteristic rainy weather, we had an excellent time! The campground lies along the Saco River, just off Route 16. There's a very large beach area with easy access to the river. We were on pull-through site #23 and found the site to be quite the rain water collector! We had some minor flooding of the site, however the sand really soaked up the water quite quickly.

The campground had plenty of ammenities such as a game room, WiFi available, a playground, and a relaxed policy on dogs. We had easy access to 2 grocery stores nearby, as well as a walmart and Lowe's.

We spent some time at the shops on North Conway Green. We also spent a full day at both Story Land and Santa's Village. We highly recommend the drive to Santa's Village. It's about an hour from the campground but you drive around Mt Washington and the scenery is breath taking.

All in all, we enjoyed our time at the beach and would certainly go back there the next time we visit North Conway!

We visit that area every year & stay @ Glen Ellis CG
I agree that Santa's Village is worth the drive & it is not as busy as Story Land. We are headed back there in 3 weeks. You can go tubing down the Ellis & Saco Rivers (Glen Ellis is located between the 2 rivers) . Thanks for the update on Beach FCG, we drive by it every year & wonder how it is there.

I actually have had 3 or 4 people tell me to look at Glen Ellis and that is a great CG. I think we might consider it for next time. We really did enjoy Beach though and would recommend it to others!

I thought sites 6 and 7 were particularly nice. They backed up to the river but had nice level plateaus so you won't have to block the front of your rig up toooooooo much. Saw some interesting stuff on some other sites with wood/cinderblocks/etc. to get the front ends up high!
