We have a VENTED Splendide, and it does a great job. You just can't overload it for drying.

If you have ever used a ventless LG you will never go back to a Splendide vented or ventless! No wrinkles, larger load same dimensions! But obviously a stack or side by side will do more faster and better, taking up more space of couse.

We had the coach plumbed and wired for a washer/dryer when it was ordered. We had the Splendide Ariston stacked units installed by CW and they did a great job. It is a vented dryer and the washer does a good sized load with ease. The dryer runs on 115 VAC but will dry a full load in 55 minutes every time. They both run off of one 20 amp breaker and we run both at the same time and have never tripped a breaker after about 40 loads. I've never felt the coach shake when the washer spins.

We like our Splendid 2100...it wont do a big load but is very efficient..using almost no water or power..about 2 1/4 hours for a load to wash/dry...

We love our vented combo. The trick seems to be pull the clothes out after washing, shake and then put back in to dry. Works great.

We have the Splendide stacked washer and dryer (vented). Wow, we wouldn't want to be without them. We don't like using the campground laundry facility as you don't know if bleach or dye is left in the washer. We had a few things ruined when using a campground washer so we would rather stay away from them.
Our washer is a front loader and is very water efficient. The dryer drum will turn one way for a minute then switch back and roll the other way. That keeps the clothes from bunching up and does a better and quicker job of drying.
We feel that we don't lose any space with the W & D as we find the units very valuable.

We had a vented Splendide and were very happy with it. We also heard about problems with the unvented versions, but don't have any actual experience.

There is a reason they only put stacked washer and dryer units in a Featherlite Prevost (yes those people do washing). The're by far better. They do take a bit more space upward where normally you would store towels etc, but once stacked, you'll never go back
Of course on our lower-end cousin, we have the vented Splendid and it works fine.
