I also have looked at shows and seen many brands with issues,,,, but to say GS is the worst, your not looking very well or need glasses,,,,, as for the poster, ask the folks that own one, every thing else is hearsay if you look back on post this year you will see very few about Gulf Stream, but many on Jayco from floors cracking to wrong axles installed and frames bending, but does that make all of them junk,,,, NO,,, all manufactures will have issues, but some on here just like to bash a unit that they really don't know anything about or have never owned. do your self a favor look at the units and make your choice your self, its your money,,,,, the thing about the net. is you can go to one sight like this one and brand X is the best there is and go to another sight and its the worst??? a good comparison is go to rvusa.com and ask about Gulf Stream you will find that GS is on the top of the list but forest river is bashed hard so is jayco, why i have no idea, but they do allow dealers to post on that sight, so you will get another view point that this sight wont allow.

I have owned many brands in my day some have been good and some very bad. My Gulf Breeze 29bhs has been one of the best units i have owned,,,but I would say is the dealer you choose is more important than the brand, they are the ones that will take care of you and make sure your happy after the sale

We have an 08 27BH that we bought Thanksgiving week 07. We have been pleased with the TT so far. The issues we have had (which were fixed under warranty by the dealer) included poorly designed support for the bath tub, and minor leaks in the kitchen and bath sinks. We have spent 38 nights in the TT this year plus three when we first got it and pulled it about 3000 miles. We think it's a pretty good TT for the money.

Sorry, but you are WAAAAYYYY off base with this line of thinking. I am a custom home builder specializing in high end products, don't have any need for glasses and have just a bit of knowledge regarding fit and finish, as my income depends on it. I'll say it again, Gulfstream's entry level product is the worst piece of trash I have ever seen, very closely followed by similar Coachmen products. When I walk into a bathroom and the floor literally makes a crunching sound as the chipboard fails, due to a poorly designed and/or installed floor vent, I form an opinion. When I look at an interior wall that is GROSSLY out of plumb, I form an opinion. As I depart this piece of sheet, I look up to see that the entry door trim has a gap in the miter that is at least 3/16" and backfilled with color putty. The putty is smeared across the wall panel like it was puttied by an epileptic monkey. I could care less what you think of my opinion, obviously I am not alone in my judgement, and wouldn't by anything GS had to offer. That hardly makes my statement hearsay. There are far better products available, why knowingly buy junk?

Seems like those who actually have Gulfstream products are pretty happy with them. We have a 2006 Streamlite 25BH. We were happy with the purchase price and light weight of the camper when we purchased it. We still like this camper very much. No issues at all with appliances, everything works just fine for us. We've got adequate storage inside and out for whatever we want to take along with us. We did have some minor issues that were taken care of under warranty, nothing that got us upset or made the camper unusable.

Bottom line, we're very happy with our camper after 100 or so nights in it. I would not be afraid to buy another Gulfstream product if that was the floorplan that fit our needs.

We have had our Streamlite for 14 months now and have had no problems. We love the floorplan, it is comfortable and it pulls well. I would not hesitate to recomend their TT's to anyone.

Not sure what problems Gulfstream have had in the past (and I don't care, it doesn't apply to me) but they did a corporate restructure about 2 years ago. It seems that old grudges die hard with the experts on the site.

Hardly a grudge, just stating the facts as I and others, have observed them. As for the cheap shot about experts, whatever. BTW, There is a thread and IIRC it is within the last two years, regarding one of your fellow countymen who had a highly defective GS towable product. The outcome was that the dealer and the manufacturer basically told him to shove it, forget about the warranty. You own it, it's rotted to the point of being unusable, too bad. Having been a member of this forum about six times longer than an expert like you, I recall many similar battles with other victims of this company. But whatever, as you clearly state, the facts do not apply to you.

2006 Gulfbreeze 23TRB - Rear wall with QB slide structurally failed and many leaks that cause mold issues. Result? We worked out a deal with GS to replace it with a 2007 29TRB. No major issues but certainly not flawless. Traded it for our Prowler and it is night and day build difference. The Prowler is rock solid.

I have a Gulfstream and will not buy another one ever. The dealer was OK but when we moved we had trouble getting anyone to do warranty work. We ended up driving two hours to a repair shop. The repair shop owner was nice but said he would never work with Gulfstream again after helping us and I understand why! We intervened while the trailer was at his shop or they would not have honored their warranty. Fortunately the dealer we bought it from also called Gulfstream on our behalf. Both slides gouged the flooring. The dealer noted it, but could not fix it before we moved. During the move a flying object hit the front of our trailer and put a dent about the size of a quarter in the aluminum on the front of the trailer. Gulfstream told us the flooring being gouged was was the trailer being "wrecked." The damage occurred before the dent and a small dent could not have caused both slides to gouge the flooring. The repair shop found screws on the bottom of both slides that had not been seated! Never again!
