We've had our 2005 class c since the end of May and we have been searching for leak every since. We thought it was the window in the cabover, we had sealed, still leaks, we had window taken out resealed by professionals, still leaks. We found a hole in chalking where the side and bottom of walls meet in cab over, still leaks. We looked and saw someone has chalked over the side window and it looks good. The water is at least showing up in a different place now. It was in the driver's side corner under mattress of cab over bed, after plugging hole in the side and bottom wall spot it now shows up right under the side window. We don't know where else to look. My question is has anyone taken their class c to have that air pressure test and did it find the leak. We bought used (as is)from a dealer and the prep guy told us they did a pressure test and we didn't have any leaks. Maybe he lied or maybe these test aren't reliable. What's your opinion good test or waste of money? My husband is just to old to keep climbing on ladder and looking.

Same problem here. In my case, my clearance lights were not properly sealed. All of them were open to the elemenets. As a result, water would run down and to the driver's side corner of the bunk area. Take off each of the lenses and mounts then look behind the mount to see if the wires are sealed with caulking and the mount screws are sealed too. Then, take your rig to a dealer and have them "Seal-Tech" the coach. My dealer charges 99 dollars. Small price for peace o' mind!

Cheers

That's good! I wonder if a big shop vac hooked to the pressure port would work too?

I don't think it would generate enough pressure.

If you do have it pressure tested make sure you observe the test. Take a disposable camera and pad for recording details of the test. When i had mine done service shop refused any observation, and gave scant report on leaks. Test was not worth the money. You may even consider marking leaks with a waterbased marker.

You ask about using a shop vac, it would generate enough pressure, but not enough volume, volume is what you need to over come all of the small normal leaks built in to the cab and coach, there are hundreds of normal leaks. I call them normal, because they all may leak air there, but not water from rain, like the door, range hood vent, roof vents Etc, when you add all of them up it requires a large volume of air.
If you made your own, you should also make a manometer, a large U bend of 1/2" plastic tubing and fill it part way with colored water and mark zero, one end inside and the other end out. Then when the blower is on you will need 1 to 2" or more of water column of pressure inside for a good bubble test.
