I thought that there was a thinner cup holder console on the market for my 2003 Ford E-350. My DW is having problems with her knee and is having difficulty getting in and out of the passeneger seat. I haven't been able to locate it online. Was it just for later model Winnebago's?

Try going here. I did a search on this site for Ford engine covers.

that's the only topic I found and it showed my console. It did say that Winnebago has a slimline one. I will try them tomorrow. But I know I saw a few topics on it when they came out with it a few years ago.

There are at least two slightly different reduced size consoles commercially available: one designed for Winnebago, used sometime after 2004 and sold by them as a replacement part; another version was sold by Ford as an Econoline accessory, available through the parts department at the Ford dealer.

I know of a third, by far the smallest, made for U-Haul. AFAIK it is not for sale through normal parts and accessory channels, but who knows what you might find on EBay.

Yes without a doubt the dog house and convenience tray, is the least convenient aspect of the E350.
My wife has MS and getting from the passenger seat was close to impossible. I didn't know there was a more slimline version of the tray, but in any case it wouldn't have been enough clearance.
So what I've done was to cut out the the garbage bag space(whatever)and moved the seat back to allow for a 5 inch clearance at the floor level.
Click--> Click--> Click-->
In moving the passenger seat back I didn't drill new holes, but used the original fasteners to hold down two new 1/4 in rails with new studs welded into them to secure the seat. I also had to cut out a piece of the seat base and reform it to clear the step where the cab joins the house part (not as difficult as it sounds).
As for the tray I just cut along join leaving the rear portion with the mounting hardware intact. As in the photos I used a bit of wood for the fascia and a shelf. If this is the way you decide to go PM me.

I just bought one on Ebay for 18.00 brand new. It has the four cupholders and bin underneath. It's a slim one that allows easier movement for driver and passenger. Here's the link:

Got mine at the local Ford dealer for $69, IIRC. It's called the standard consol/dog house, vice the deluxe (larger) version you now have. I no longer have that MH, so I give you the Ford part number. Sorry.
I would also look on ebay, as previously noted.
Good luck.
