Well.. if possible move it, Then file a general complaint listing all the other RV's and send each and every one of the owner's a letter inviting them to a city commission meeting.
Selective enforcement is just wrong, To give you a letter of violation and not also hammer each and every other RV owner in the city is a double standard and is simply wrong. Assorted types of people can have a lot of fun with such actions. Lawyers and Reporters being #1 and 2 on the list.
There is also the fact that it's sat there for 3 years with no complaint. Again I would speak with the lawyer about that. They can have a bit of fun with that too.
Just what I mean by "A bit of fun" you are going to have to talk to the lawyer about.. I can only give one piece of legal advice (Which I have given several times already in this message) and that is "Talk to a lawyer"

There is no room to move it beside either side of the house, and I checked with the town and it is illegal to park it on the street. I did check with the police department 3 years ago and they said that as far as they knew there were no laws against leaving it in the driveway, the code officer now says you can't due to an old ordinance prohibiting rvs parked im the driveway in front of a home.

What is this country coming to.
You can't walk the streets with guns in your holsters and now you can't park RV in front of your house. Sounds like times are changing so should we.

What does that gain? It's probably NOT one or the RV owning neighbors that filed the complaint. All you'll do is get the fellow RV'ers made at YOU.

It's helpful comments like this that make some of us wonder why we came back here. I AM glad you were able to save face. That's REAL important.

Didn't your brother have a trailer in the same spot for a while?
Maybe a grandfathered RV?
I would check the date of the code and find out who did the complaining.
After that, get all the people in that area that have campers, boats, motorhomes, trailers to get that code repealed or changed. Maybe you might have to move it around more. Check what happened in Eatontown last year.
Have you checked the storage place on 35 north of me? When I passed there the other day, they had lots of space outside and only 1 motorhome. We have a cover that would fit your MH if you need it - we haven't used it since the first year. (It is a bit big for our 32ft. and has a door zipper.)
Do you want to move it over to our yard for a week while you figure out something? We do have the tree guy coming at the end of the month... and ours will be in Neptune getting a new dash air system (again) on Sept 29 -30 th.
Give us a call Monday.

Actually, open carry is legal in many places, including where I live (WV). But except for a couple of times out West I've never seen anybody doing it. I wouldn't - not worth the hassle here in the sheeple-infested East. I have enough CCW permits to cover almost everywhere we go.

Well the first thing to do is to call and see if you can get an extension at leat until you are able to either find a place to store it or make changes necessary to store it legally on your land. Probably try talking with the code enforcement person face to face and show yoru willing to work with them. Next contact the city council and mayor and see what can be done about getting the ordinance changed.
A lot of cities only enforce code violations like this on a complaint driven basis. That way it cuts down on the number for residents they have to tic off and when they do enforce something they always fall back on well we received a complaint from a neighbor. Personally I think that cities should take enforcement action on obvious violations even when the neighbor doesn't complain. Otherwise you can wind up having a couple of "like minded" neighbors turn their properties into nightmares really quick. But that's for another discussion.
Try and work out a resolution with them, and call the mayor and council and City Administration too but don't just scream and stomp show your willing to work things out. I find it hard to believe but not everyone enjoys looking at my RV or my dogs or me mowing the lawn in a tank top and shorts drinking a beer. Some people take the complaining to the extreme and try to police the neighborhood to their standards.
