It's helpful comments like this that make some of us wonder why we came back here. I AM glad you were able to save face. That's REAL important.
My point is, the way to avoid being cited for violation of the law, is to know, and obey, the law. What is your problem with obeying the law?

Just a thought.... How much distance between the RV and the curb, and is there distance between the RV and the side walk?
Can you put a garage over it?
If so hit up Pep Boys, they have a 10x20 instant garage, Now understand your RV won't fit on it as sold however if you got two of 'em and stiched them end to end that's 40 feet long.. Now put extensions on the legs to get 'em high enough and tarp the sides. Instant garage.
Of course.. There may be an ord against that too. Don't know

I would move the RV, to avoid the fine. Then I would work within the system to try and get the ordinance changed. If I couldn't get the ordinance changed, I would move to a rural setting were my moho was not a violation of some arbitrary ordinance.

I have nothing against obeying the law. In fact, I do it regularly. That has absolutely nothing to do with my comment. It was entirely directed at your attitude, not your upstanding civic demeanor. The original poster very obviously either did not know the law or chose to ignore it and his question was about what to do about it now, not what you did three years ago. I suspect your smart aleck reply did little to help him solve his current problem.

check the registration, i went to war with the city of aberdeen md for parking in front of my house, it got so ugly that i had the mayor and the chief of police at my house. when the chief of police asked for the registration he said that i could leave it right were it was because the way the law was written it says that you could not park recreational vehicles on the street for more then 72 hours at a time, but since i am registered as a motorcoach the law did not apply to me as it was written.

Trying to challenge or change local codes and ordinances are as futile as dealing with homeowners associations. No one listens until a state judge starts talking. Selective enforcement based on complaints is unequal treatment and therefore unconstitutional. How much money and time do you want to spend? A lawyer can file a complaint against the city and file a stay of any action on their part until a judge issues a ruling....anywhere from months to years from now. These selective enforcement issues have been struck down repeatedly in State courts resulting in the code or ordinance either, set aside for everyone, or vigorously applied to everyone. When everyone gets a ticket at the same time, council meetings turn into a war zone, elected officers get booted, and the code gets amended or repealed. BTW, a cheaper way is to do a Ghandi and refuse to move the RV. The city will have to confront you in a local court, where it's 50/50 a ruling would be in your favor. You might be able to appeal, but that too, is up to a local paid judge.

Not only are there folks who wish to force you to do things you do not want to do, there are also those who would take away your RIGHT and ability to resist.
Anti-gunners, HOA's, and CG operators who try to get overnight parking prohibited ALL seem to be working in "cahoots" to relieve us of our freedoms and choice.
I think THEY should be "banned" from society.

Geez, Neptune has a LOT of other things to worry about to improve it's "image" that to worry about a fre RVs in driveways.
I always figured that if I ever got in a position to buy a house, I would look in Neptune because it would be the town LEAST likely to have any kind of RV regulations. They really need to concentrate on the CRIME and DRUG problems first!
