Could you tell me where you found out that Crossroads is offering the 16" wheel option?
The Cruiser now has a modified front cap design similar to the Sundance. One other option for the Cruiser is Gel-coat siding, otherwise I find the units very similar.

Quote: Im looking at a 2005 27rl cruiser. They are asking $20,000. It is very clean. The dealer wont budge on price. Should i get it or go on?
I think for not a lot more than that you could get a new one through RV Wholesalers pretty nicley equiped. I would go online and price one with the options you really want and see what a new one would cost before I paid that much for the 05.

We have had our's for 7 weeks so far and a few minor issues that they have fixed right off, some staple holes covered with seam tape and a bad door seal on the front basement that I caught at the PDI. I am pleased with the warrranty and I feel that for the price only a few trailers in the segment match the build/quality of the Cruiser. The Heartland made my short list and the Jayco Superlite. We crossed the Eagle off becuase of low R-value and the composite floor. The Heartland didn't have a local dealer otherwise I would have had a real tough choice.
The "full" 2009's made after the August shutdown for vacation feature the new Cruiser changes. Some of the features and nice options are listed below - their site should reflect this soon:
New cap with full radius turn for short bed units.
New Tuscany Maple interior wood & upgraded slide fascia(darker then the previous year oak)
Wall paneling has changed in color and pattern
Standard Trail-Aire suspension
Re-designed steps with new "radius" front's and lower step in height
New combo Pummel Drive with DVD/CD/MP3/Removable Media drive & exterior marine speakers.
Updated fixtures, colors and counters and window boxes with day/night shades
Larger baggage doors
Heated docking station in basement for cable/sat./water/tank valves/low point drains
Basement on door side has 12v/sat./cable hookups and mounting area for LCD arm
Options - Dual pane windows, 8 cu. foot fridge/freezer, lifestyle lounge, LCD's, ceiling fan, 15K AC, extra insulation package, wired thermostat controlled vent fans in bedroom/living/bunk area's.

I am the second owner of a 2006 Crossroads Cruiser. Not too long ago, I discovered my axles were bad. I contacted Crossroads, and very politely made them aware of my axle situation. They offered to replace the axles and tires at no charge to me if I returned it to their facility or send me brand new axles that I would replace at my cost. I chose to have the new axles sent to me and I would cover the costs of replacement.
Crossroads were under no obligation to help me but they did come through for me, thus I have nothing but good things to say about their customer service.

Thanks for the replies, the responces are a lot more positive than with FR products. The DW and I looked at the CF27RL and the CF29RK today and they look like nice units,I liked the CF27RL because you can get to the fridge with the slide in and you do not have to walk accross the carpet to get to the bathroom:-) now to decide which unit and where to buy.

We have an 08 Crossroads CF32BL. We have the gel glass and dual pane windows and we are very glad we picked these 2 options. Easier to clean and much quieter inside. This is our 2nd crossroads rv. and we have been taken good care of on the few minor issues that we have had. I would buy another crossroads rv without reservations. Shop around its a buyers market right now. Crossroads has a new service center that opened so if you have problems you can take a trip to the factory.

We purchased a new 2009 CF32BL from RVW this summer. We couldn't find another RV maker that had a rear lounge along with a bunkroom slide for kids so we chose the Cruiser. Overall the build quality is good, but not great. Our dinnette back broke on our first trip. I fixed it myself. One of the cabinet doors above the sofa is coming apart and needs to be glued and clamped (will probably do this myself too). This isn't really a CR build-quality issue, but our MagicChef oven stopped working on our 3rd trip out. The burners work fine, so it's probably a bad valve behind the oven knob.
As mwebber said above, there are some nice changes to the '09s. Even with the few problems we've had, we still like our Cruiser and look forward to many years of camping.

We have a 2005 Crossroads Zinger travel trailer. We have found the unit to be serviceable and about what we expected in terms of quality. As an entry -level product it has performed well. No major issues or problems, however there are several 'fit and finish' interior items that show a lack of concern for detail. They did mis-label the gray and black water tank release valves, and as a rookie RV'er this issue did result in a rather messy and unfortunate incident.
Overall we have enjoyed our travels in this trailer and have hauled it over 10,000 miles (a lot for us) over the past four years. I would not hesitate to consider for purchase another Crossroads product, but I've learned a lot in the past few years and would be a far more discriminating buyer the next time around.

How long have you been beating the dealer on the price? Sometimes it is easier to get them to throw in extras instead of price reduction. such as hitch, new mattress and other accessories that add up quick.
FYI, the crossroads that we had looked at, the boxes for the dinette, bed etc, we pretty flimsy. If you are a biggun or have rowdy kids, you might reinforce these if you buy it.

Wow, you'd have to be pretty big to break solid plywood with wood bracing!!!
No offense but unless it was changed this year our bed platform is plywood ( I think 1/2") with backing strips.
