In my gut they don't seem to be safe. I realize they are a manufactured product, but I've seen homemade that I had a better comfort zone with.

And what appears to be wrong with them, they have shrouded ends for the hot wires so there's no reasonable chance of getting zapped unless you really put in the effort.

My homemade "unsafe" ones have almost zero chance of getting zapped too. I don't have kids and I shut down BEFORE I unplug. As a matter of fact it takes a good hard tug and grip inorder to unplug them. I can't for the life of me see how they would somehow come unplugged to cause a hazard??

JMHO........

Paul B,

Where did you find the connectors that plug into the Honda?

Great! Good news is that I can afford the parallel cables now that they are priced below $100.00.

However, bad news is that it'll be many moons before I can afford the 2 Honda generators.

I spent 2 days locating the Yamaha site for maintenance dealers for my EF 2800i.

Then, I spent the next day calling their list of motorcycle dealers that they claim will work on generators. Many were out of business or didn't know what I was talking about when I mentioned Yamaha generators.

I had found significant metal grit in the float bowl of my carb and tried everything that my now limited shop access would permit.

But with no luck.

Must have been in the gas tank originally, since I am one of those "anal" guys who keep my gear in pristine condition and relies on the built in strainer to prevent bad gas from bringing such junk into the tank.

So, this is the last Yami product for me.
