I cannot halp but wonder if it is not hard on the hydraulic system to leave a coach parked for weeks/months with the jacks down??? Someone want to convince mr otherwise?

I certainly am not an expert and maybe a diesel is different. Once the air is out of the air bags, the jack are suppose to lock up. I don't think it is good for the unit to sit on the tires for long periods, also. Don't you get flat spots on the tires? I hope someone that knows, jumps in here. Maybe we are both all wet. HELP!

IMHO, it doesn't hurt anything except the shafts might get tarnished if you are in a high salt area. Hyd. fluid is what is supporting the weight of the moho, and the valves which keep the fluid in the cylinders are made of steel or aluminum. Look at any construction crane, the boom is supported by hyd cylinders all the time. To my way of thinking, getting most of the weight off the tires and air bags is better than having it on them. I would think that the air bags should be deflated while on the jacks.

I too am no expert, but common sense tells me I am right.

I park mine for the winter with jacks down to eliminate tire flat spots and relieve some of the pressure on the suspension and bearings.

Equalizer Jack system advised there is no problem with leaving the MH on jacks for extended periods of time. If you are concerned with corrosion on the pistons, you can recycle the jacks or take a rag and rub some hydraulic fluid on the pistons to prevent corrosion. Each time you recycle the jacks the piston is coated with hydraulic fluid. With my MH when you auto level it dumps the air bags while the jacks are extending. IMO taking dumping the air and taking the wt. off the tires while the tires are on boards or some type of barrier is better then waiting for the air bags to leak over time and still have the wt. of the MH on the tires and suspension.

I'd MORE concerned about why you WOULD park with them down. Who's going to be annoyed at any movement if nobody's home?
