Hello! We will be traveling from Russellville, Arkansas to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas in a 40' Class A w/toad ... if we take Hwy 7 south from Russellville, is the road steep and curvy and scary for my wife who doesn't like to drive through the mountains? If so, should be go on to Morrilton and go down Hwy 9? Thanks!

We have been on highway 7 many times. We drive a 45' with toad. The first thirty miles is quite boring but after that things get interesting. It is a beautiful drive with many tight curves. When the speed limit sign says 15 mph don't go 20. Just take it easy and you will have no problems.

I am from Russellville and still own a home there. I would take Hwy 7. It really is a nice drive with only one good pull.

It is a beautiful drive. We drove it with 38' motorhome pulling a toad.

I have done it in a 40 footer without the tow car. The rig will make it fine. Yes, it is curvy in a few places and sometimes a little steep. The drive is very pretty. One caution is that there are a couple of small bridges that are not much more than the MH per lane. Slow down and look ahead as you approach the bridges and make sure there is no other traffic and move a little toward the center. Also, I have done Hwy 9 route and it is better road but I think somewhat longer. I would take 7 and watch the bridges.
