I was just wondering if anyone knows some contact information for POP ODOM'S around Martinsville Speedway. We just got some tickets given to us today and would love to take our TT there. We called the campground and all reserved spots are taken and all that's left is general admission spots, which are first come first serve. They open the campground on the 11th, the race is on the 19th, I don't see there being spots left on the 16th when we would be arriving. Any help from you fine folks that have done the Martinsville camping thing would be much appreciated.

Check out Laid Back Racing. We haven't been to Martinsville in 2 years, but always camp just behind the track.

Have fun!

Don't worry about having a reserved spot of anykind. We go to the spring race every year and never have a camping spot ahead of time. First of all Martinsville has a HUGE camping area behind the campground. It is a little hilly but if you prepare and take some cribbing you'll have no trouble. Cost was last at $100 for the whole time. We usually get there on Thursday around noon, and there are still plenty of options, in fact there are still people coming in on Saturday! They have guys rinding around on "carts" that are more than happy in helping you find a spot. If the "track" campground is not to your liking there are alot of yards, parking lots, etc...that will take you also. So don't worry, go, and enjoy!
