My money says they won't respond. I was at a water/electric park a few years ago. Half the park was closed off and being redone, that is where the dump station was. Every day between 11 and noon they opened the gate for those who wanted to dump. I was waiting in line as a class c pulled over the cement and did the same thing. The ranger was backed in facing the dump station, never even said anything.

I worked for an emergency response company and we responded to all calls as long as someone was willing to stand good for the bill.

A state or federal hazmat team might not.

We have all seen it, we have all been there. By the time anyone gets there it is the next season. Just move on and realize that the world is not perfect.

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

While it isn't nice what they did, I am assuming they were dumping it on the concrete and all the poo went in the drain? It sounded like they washed it down. Plus they did it without wearing gloves. what is there to report? I know of no laws describing how you should dispose of the waste at a dump station as long as you get the poo in the drain? Maybe not as neat as some of us would like but they still accomplished the task? It's just Poop and Pee, not oil antifreeze or a methlab being poured onto the apron.

Just my 2 cents

You should have called 911 and reported a hazardous waste spill(which it was). A hazmat cleanup isn't cheap when you consider the added fine. The Oregon state boys could have caught them pretty easily.

I'm not defending what they did, but do you seriously advocate a hazmat response if someone has the hose pop out at a dump station?

How many here can say "I've NEVER had ONE LITTLE DROP drip onto the ground when dumping. Nope, not once!"

I'd sure hope I can visit a dump station without the fear of a bill racking up into the thousands...

There is BIG difference between "ONE LITTLE DROP" and not using a hose at all, I don't think anyone is going to give you a hard time for one little drop, it's probably happened to us all at one time or another, Total ignorance & disreguard for others shouldn't be accepted, as this is the type of actions that cause non RVer's to get rules passed affecting us all, just like ATVer's, if we don't police ourselves, someone else will, & I for one, don't want someone who knows nothing about my favorite passtime, making rules for me.

Well for people who it isn't a big deal and its good as long as they get it "in the hole" its just common courtesy. Kinda drastic but would you want that person coming in your house with the same attitude about using your home toilet? I wouldn't think so.

As far as the glove issue. Of course there is no law and glad there isn't. We are over-regulated as it is, but that being said i'm a fairly neat person and just owuldn't want the "poo on me" (thats from the movie Joe Dirt) and wouldn't want to spread it to anyone else.

I work in law enforcement and come into contact with alot of people. Good and bad. I never shake hands. Some people get a little offended when they extend their hand and I politely decline. But, I always tell them no offense but I don't know where your hands have been nor do you know where mine have been.

I always remember that whatever I touch.....dopers, drugs whatever goes where ever I touch and that includes when you eat..shake hands...hug your kids etc. Thats why i do use anti-bacterial soap whenever I can. When I think about it in that perspective I know hoe important it is to use gloves....

Just my .02 cents......

If you think that's bad, you should visit the Hillsboro Waste Treatment Plant's RV dump station. The ground is as slick as ice from the Taco trucks dumping their grease tanks in a similar fashion to the OPs original good ole boys dumping their black tank. There's nothing that enhances a tank dumping experience than stepping out of your RV and having your foot slip out from underneath you and go sprawling flat on your back on that wonderfully clean bit of tarmac.

We were waiting to dump at Jasper NP in Canada behind a rental class C. The guy finished dumping, took the hose off, then came out with the white potable water hose and shoved it up in the sewer tank drain to wash it out, I guess. THEN--- he pulled forward and used the same hose to fill the water tank! If I had ever been inclined toward renting an RV, that would certainly stop me forever.
