It is one great addition to our vehicles. I bought mine and ordered the extra plug - now I can take it between my truck and RV.
What I didn't know is that the wife printed out the manual, original is really small, and she now knows how to use it. We are off and going somewhere in the truck and I have it set up for me.....she reaches over and said let's see how your MPG & TSB are doing!!! Well guys, I now know I have a lead foot....and an informed spouse, ha!! Great thing though.

One thing worth mentioning is motorhomes are not like cars, which for the most part converted to OBD II in 1996. Some, like the Ford F53, did not convert until 99.

Have not used one... However a television station did one of those product tests, Several products all claiming to improve your gas millage......
Just for the heck of it they also tried a Scan Gauge II
And their recommendation was: The Scan Gauge II made a greater improvement than all the others... COMBINED
you see, where as the other products attempted to improve the engine (often with negative results) the scan gauge improved........... The Driver
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

It's nice seeing mass agreement about something here. And I'll add to the chorus giving all thumbs up for the Scanguage. My dashboard doesn't even have a water temp gauge, and it's worth it just to monitor this one thing. The rest is just icing on the cake.

Had one about 2+ years - have found it very helpful - helped me improve my mpg. My guess is it paid for itself this summer on my 15,000 mi trip to AK. ST

For goo dmounting option, look at the BlendMount offered by MGTMotorsports - you can get a package deal, SGII and BlendMount for $199.
I have the BlendMount and love it - the SGII is sitting right on top of the mirror; for an easy 'glance up' I see everything I need.
